“how to insert continuous page numbers in word 2013 |word 2013 sequential numbering”

Just struggled through exactly the same issue. Copy the 1st page onto the second, right click on the each inserted number, and click update field, then select that page, copy and then paste for as many pages as you need. Select all these pages and hit F9, and as if by magic, all the number will fill in.

While I’m commenting, let me ask something…I have the pdf of the InDesgin Help on my computer and I adore the formatting. The whitespace and fonts are perfect and so eacy on the eye. Would it be possible for someone to please send me exactly what’s in that template so I don’t have to figure it out myself? Please pass on my compliments to the designer!

I am not sure which version of corel you are using, but typing Print Merge in the help file should bring up some step by step topics.  I am using X3, but I had a crash, and need to reboot my computer to clear some errors.  But one thing that may help, instead of merging a csv file, you could create the data on the fly.  One thing to think through is you will need 12 data fields – for arguments sake call them “cir1”, “cir2″, Cir3” etc through “Cir12”.  These become like the header row in excel.  When asked for a data value, select Auto Increment and start Cir1 at 4000.

☼  You can change the number’s value at any point mid-way in the list (i.e., start with a different number) with the Set Paragraph Number button on the Outline Property Bar that should appear when your cursor is inside the list:

A particular report must have pages numbered consecutively from 1-12. In addition, it must have 4 un-numbered pages inserted after page 8. In the past these 4 pages have been produced as a separate file but it would be easier to combine the two documents into a single file. How can this be done?

Can anyone please explain, if it is possible, using Microsoft Publisher office XP, to number a slide show, of still photographs, by “automatic sequential numbering “, rather than numbering each slide individually. Thanks in anticipation !

The first value returned by the sequence object. The START value must be a value less than or equal to the maximum and greater than or equal to the minimum value of the sequence object. The default start value for a new sequence object is the minimum value for an ascending sequence object and the maximum value for a descending sequence object.

CK Note: I strongly recommend reading the following article. It may save your sanity (or at least your job). See Word’s Numbering Explained by John McGhie. Somewhat easier reading and still very useful are Shauna Kelly’s articles (see above) on outline numbering and bullets.

•  You might want to create a new paragraph outline style especially for this purpose; see “Creating or modifying outlines.” Or, in Reveal Codes, you can just double-click the [Style] code in the numbered paragraph style to bring up the Styles Editor. Add a hard Back Tab to the beginning of the string of codes shown in the Contents field of the Styles Editor. [In the Editor: click Format, Paragraph, Back Tab.)

Property that specifies whether the sequence object should restart from the minimum value (or maximum for descending sequence objects) or throw an exception when its minimum or maximum value is exceeded. The default cycle option for new sequence objects is NO CYCLE.

Toggle field codes again and with your AutoText entries defined you can easily start new lists or continue with your next number in the sequence by typing the keywords newlist or next and invoking the AutoText entry using F3.

Microsoft Publisher, the desktop publishing component of the Professional version of the Office Suite, can perform many time-saving tasks for busy business owners, including layout and design work. It can even help you avoid a shopping run to try to find tickets for your next employee picnic, holiday giveaway or executive board meeting. Create your own tickets, including the vital sequential ordering needed for raffles or attendance tracking, using Publisher’s page numbering. With a few tricky manipulations of the page number process, you can start running the numbers in an entirely new fashion.

System generates its own number in a sequence. Like first transaction will have 1 and then second will have 2 and so on and so forth but there are scenarios where more than one person is working on same category and the method of sequence is Automatic then it might have a sequence, I haven’t seen it as yet but it is.

I have designed and printed a BLURB book in LR4 beta successfully. Although the color was somewhat streaked and blotchy, it wasn’t a bad effort, but it does need refinements. How I might add page numbers? Without page numbering, making a book greater than a few pages is not really acceptable.

Note: Quick Parts is one way to store and use the SEQ fields — you can use this Quick Parts method and/or the AutoCorrect method described earlier in this article. As far as I can tell, you do not have to have the field codes displayed to add these fields as Quick Parts, but it may be easier to see which is which if you do.

Otherwise, you could, instead of a merge, use a page of labels with six SEQ fields set for different sequences and with an interval of 6. The first page would be your initial set of fields with numbering 1, 35, 69, 103, 137, and 171.

As I indicated, because you want to only generate this number just before saving, I would put this code behind a Save button or another event that runs just before you save the record. So if you want to prevent duplications, you don’t use the expression as a control source, but put the code behind a button or event. Since you have a Save button, put it there.

Design your ticket, use excel or libre’s version and create the numbers. Save those numbers as text, I always make the first one xxx then 001 and so on, xxx will be the master page. Use data merge from Indesign to create the master ticket, you will need to make a text box for the number. Once it looks good to you draw a text box around the whole ticket. At the bottom of the data merge tab is a button that gives you the options how you want your layout, columns or rows, etc. even has a preview. once you click create it will create another file with all your tickets sequentially numbered. It’ll be a couple of hours before I’m at work but can post the link I used to create these for the first couple of times.
