“ncr numbering machine _raffle ticket numbers lottery”

Sounds like you have put a “Next Record” field after the final ticket on each page. Because the final ticket is at the end of the page, the number will increment automatically at the end of a page. If you put a ‘Next’ field there too, you’ll jump two numbers. This issue is mentioned in Step 5 above, but maybe I should make it clearer.

1: Making Sequential Numbering using Data Merge (files don’t have to be merged to a new ID file but can be merged directly to a new PDF): Episode 6: Making Sequential Numbers for a Data Merge – YouTube

The learning curve was a bit steep but once I got the hang of it – no problem. Print, perf & cut….can have 1000 tickets done in an hour if necessary. You can change number size, font, color, alpha prefix, add pix & graphics…….

Often we get a request to purchase 500 raffle tickets each with two sets of random numbers. Those numbers would include all possibilities of the “pick 3” state lottery (000-999). The ticket holder would have two chances to win for each raffle ticket he or she purchases.

In this tutorial, we’ll explain how to do an easy setup in InDesign for automatically numbered tickets. We will look at the handy “Data Merge Tool,” which is a great time-saver. Let’s jump into this quick tutorial!

Right now I’m making a straight sequence of numbers (two to a ticket). There are 3000 tickets (3001-6000 for an example) so my numbered list is double that since there are two to a ticket. Right now my flow is this:

Now Option/Alt-click on the Autonumbering button in the Control panel (or choose Bullets and Numbering from the Control panel flyout menu) and choose the list you created in the Lists pop-up menu. You might want to adjust the other settings to match this:

Our raffle ticket templates are available in Corel Draw 15 and 7 formats as well as Word format. Download the free template of your choice, open it in Word or Corel Draw and customize your choice of fonts, logos, clipart, graphics and colors.

Online Proof: Our online proof is there to give you an idea what your tickets will look like. If you’re not happy with the proof just tell us to send an actual proof (Our Artists have a lot more flexibility then the online proofing). If you’re adding a logo there is no need to request a proof. In either case complete your order and you will receive a proof the next business day.

Do that again after the number on the third ticket on your page, BUT NOT THE FINAL TICKET ON THE PAGE. Because the final ticket is at the end of the page, and the number will increment automatically at the end of a page. If you put a ‘Next’ field there too, you’ll jump two numbers.

David, I submitted that idea to the New Features ID page years ago. So far: Nada. I think it’s such an obvious little feature that it’s almost embarrassing to suggest it. I now leave this matter to Higher Powers with more clout in Adobian matters — like you and Anne-Marie. 🙂

The From and To numbers are set so the pages (and tickets) can be ordered correctly for cutting into books with consecutive ticket numbers. If you can’t get the exact end ticket number required, just select the nearest higher number, and only print required number form the print file.

I went through the video and everything worked perfectly. Thank you so much for this helpful video. However, I need to go back in a edit the size of overall format, to fit into a stock OfficeDepot template and add 500 numbers. It’s not happening,… is it not possible to edit after you have done the mailmerge? Do I have to start all over and create a new one?

Use of Corel Draw Print Merge requires a text field. By using excel you can quickly prepare a txt file for your print merge. We utilized Corel Draw in our day to day trophy and award production. For more details on our trophies and awards visit http://www.sdtrophy.com

The script sets the numbering of multiple gang up tickets so that after cutting the tickets do not need recollating to put back into order (like the CS2 script) but also does counterfoil numbers, prefixes, suffixes, leading zeros and output of pages in reverse order for ‘face up’ printing.

I normally use “Data Merge” in InDesign and use Excel (or something like it) to generate the list of numbers for me. You would copy the numbers into a text file so that InDesign can read them as the merge data source. Note that you would have one ticket on the page and then let InDesign set the other tickets on the page (you can tell the Data Merge control panel about spacing).

Different Colors or Size: Our standard tickets are printed in black ink on yellow 90 lb index card stock. They measure 2 1/8? by 5 1/2? with the stub 1 1/2? from the left. We also offer White, Blue and Green card stock at no additional charge. If you would like your tickets printed in one of these colors just let us know in the “comments” section.

Once you’re finished with the design, go to the “Mailings” ribbon to start the mail merge. You’ll see that the “Update Labels” is grayed out. Change that by clicking on Start Mail Merge > Labels > Cancel.

It’s best to use something other than general copy paper when printing raffle tickets. Heavier weight paper, or even card stock, could be a better choice. Not only does it look more professional, but the tickets will tear off more easily along the perforation. Choose paper colors on the lighter end of the spectrum so that the template design shows up clearly when printed.

Drag a horizontal and vertical guide onto the page. Set them both to 1p6 (18pt). To align them select the guide with the selection Tool (V) and type the number into the X and Y tab. This will ensure that the guides are set to the exact number.

Hi – are you creating your own tickets using the instructions on this page? If so, you can of course change the font and everything else in your Word document. If you are using the Raffle Ticket Creator app (app.raffleticketcreator.com) then you can’t change the font size … you’ll just need to tinker with the exact words that you are including in order to get them to fit on the page. Hope that helps!

is that it does number properly. If you select ‘8 up’ the number file created is suitable to text merge into InDesign so that after cutting the eight stacks of tickets can be effectively placed one upon each other and the numbering holds.

One of my templates is only $25 so for any shop that just wants to boost production on a small item that doesn’t really make much profit, it’s a good solution and all the work is already done for them.

I would like to create raffle tickets. On MS it says to download the template for Avery 5371. Okay, did that. Now how do I continue that so the numbers come out in sequence correctly? Or how do I create the raffle tickets in Excel? I would really appreciate any help. Concerning the number sequence, you want to put identical numbers in A1 an B1. Then, highlight the columns and Fill -> Series -> Increment. Do the same for Columns C and D, and so on such that you have a page full of raffle tickets. — Anne Murray “jthhousing” wrote: > I would like to create raffle t…

The Bullet and numbering list is suitable for the “Transform” tool, combinated with Move+Copy+ the calculated distance and then just aplly the Cmd/Ctrl + Alt+3 for the “Transform again” tool. This is wonderful. It`a like the “Apply Duplicate” command in Corel Draw, but raffle ticket numbering in indesign powerful.

Our aggressive pricing structure permits resellers to take advantage of wholesale like pricing. If you are a reseller, make sure to select the “Reseller” option when entering your quantities etc. for your order, so that we will not print our logo on the tickets.
