The plot of a Cauchy sequence (Xn), shown in blue, as Xn versus n. In the graph the sequence appears to be converging to a limit as the distance between consecutive terms in the sequence gets smaller as n increases. In the real numbers every Cauchy sequence converges to some limit.

Your code looks correct. What do you mean by ncr numbering doesn’t work? When that code is run, txtAlphaCount should show the next number in sequence. You need to explain further. Also where are you putting that line of code?

Now, what’s the deal with the UniqueKeyVariant parameter for the RowNumber() function? We are not even using it all! True, but if we didn’t, Access will call RowNumber() only once for an entire query and thus we get “1” for the entire dataset. That is a good way to save on CPU processing – why call Now() for each row? In this case, we want to go against this CPU-saving measure and ensure that the RowNumber() is in fact called once per row to generate a new number for that row. Thus, we pass in a parameter — a primary key of a table is a good choice for this purpose. So we get a nice sequential number generated all in the query with VBA function.

The Montgomery County Historical Society and NCR Corporation joined in 1998 into a partnership committed to preserving the historic and voluminous NCR Archive. In 1999, NCR moved an estimated three million items from NCR’s Building 28 into the Historical Society’s Research Center.

Since Word 2000 applies outline numbering by default, as you press TAB or SHIFT+TAB in a numbered list, you are moved to the next or previous outline level. If you are in a numbered list that has outline numbering generated by the method described in the previous exercise, when you choose Bullets and Numbering from the Format menu (or alternate-click a portion of the numbered list), the Numbered tab appears on the Bullets and Numbering dialog box. However, if you first select the entire list and choose Bullets and Numbering from the Format menu, the Outline Numbered tab from the Bullets and Numbering dialog box is selected.

Following on this, what are your thoughts on changing a numbering system once you’ve already started? the system we currently use I inherited from my predecessor, and it’s very long and convoluted and doesn’t make much sense to me. it also makes it annoying to store documents because the titles are too long on some and has to be changed. I would ideally like to start from scratch with a simple numbering system that suit us better. I’m pretty new to this particular project and I want it to be set up properly.

FileHold software has many ways to solve the business problem of uniquely numbering and versioning documents.  The software  provides near infinite numbering / versioning possibilities using the metadata fields. The metadata fields are flexible, controllable, and searchable to allow users to create any numbering schemes they may require. The following are the document number control schemes that FileHold provides as a standard feature.

Whether they are paper or electronic, documents are the foundation of a construction project. Clear labeling is essential, both for initial storage and later retrieval. But using a document number of 50+ characters really isn’t necessary. Most of the information contained in the doc number is in the document itself – which the user will read anyway – or in the attached metadata.

When we design a Management System we number operational procedures. These are the procedures that are specific to say Environmental Management, but trust us it’s not the traditional numbering. They all get the same number. Yep, that’s right we might, for instance, give all the quality specific procedures that sit below the integrated top level documents the same number, all the safety procedures another number, and another number for the environmental procedures. Does that sound weird? Let’s explore the reasoning behind this.

You can request us to change the stub ie, instead of Name, Address and Phone ADMIT ONE, name and date of your event. (This is helpful if you are pre-selling your tickets because your seller can retain the stub portion for record keeping. If you prefer no stub, place your order and select “tickets with no stub”. In either case, your proof will show a standard stub but your Admission Tickets will either have no stub or one with the information you requested.
