Hi Cathy – I’m not sure what would cause that to be honest. Because (even with these instructions!) it can be quite hard to get Word to do this right, I did build a little web-based service to do the same thing. Have you tried that? http://app.raffleticketcreator.com
Open your Layers window. If it is not already open, open it by going to (Window > Layers). Rename the layer with the placed pdf ‘Background’ and then create a new layer and name it ‘Numbering’. Lock the ‘Background’ layer. Then select the ‘Numbering’ Layer.
Well that would solve all my problems if I knew how to print outside of acrobat. Im using a Mac and Ive never printed a document outside of its program. My only other issue is being able to set print settings. Its not just a plain paper document, its an exam. Its printed on 11 x 17 cardstock then folded by the printer, so I would need to incorporate those print settings as well. Not sure if its doable, but I will keep trying to find a solution to this problem. I appreciate the response.

Some states have a list of prohibited items, such as animals and alcohol, so check the laws in your area to ensure that you comply. Many community businesses will donate prizes for the raffle; all you have to do is ask. They’re generally willing to do that because they understand the goodwill that is generated from their contribution efforts. To make your raffle give-away as easy as possible, consider the 50/50 raffle, where 50% of the proceeds generated from ticket sales goes to the drawn winner of the raffle, and 50% goes to the organization raising the funds. Besides being easy to award the prize, it also eliminates the hassle of securing merchandise. You’ll need to decide on a selling price. You don’t want to price them too high so that many people would find it too expensive. The lower the price of each ticket, the more tickets you’ll sell. If you price your tickets at $1 each, expect each buyer to purchase from one to five tickets. If your tickets are $5-10 each, each buyer will likely purchase no more that two.
A cash raffle is when the prize is a fraction of the total of the earnings. They are sometimes referred to as “50/50” draws, although the prize may not necessarily be equal to 50 percent of the earnings. It is illegal in some places.
I’m chairing our school’s fundraiser gala, and found these last year after a very frustrating experience with a similar Avery product. These are MUCH better, and I love that they come pre-numbered. Overall a stellar find.
I get an error with this code but it is something I literally copied from a post in this thread where you said it works every time and simply replaced the names of fields and tables with those of my project.
Your numbering jobs are now done in seconds rather than hours — cleaner, faster, and leaner than ever before! Perfect for repeat jobs, you can re-import previously numbered PDFs — saving time and money.
Several European train operators also offer self printable tickets. Often tickets can also be delivered as SMS or MMS. Railway operators in other countries also issue electronic tickets. The national operators of Denmark and Netherlands have a nationwide system where RFID smartcards are used as train tickets. This is very common in Europe for local urban rail, such as rapid transit/metros.
Have tried a few and have found that this one is the best by far – have used it for raflle tickets (both colour & b/w) and invoice books – just import PDF and position where you want numbers to go and that’s it
However at the same time I am trying to autonumber the LH field so that at the end of the calendar year it will automatically roll to the new year with a new sequential number. I hope this all makes more sense now.

Several websites assist people holding e-tickets to check in online in advance of the twenty-four-hour airline restriction. These sites store a passenger’s flight information and then when the airline opens up for online check-in the data is transferred to the airline and the boarding pass is emailed back to the customer. With this e-ticket technology, if a passenger receives his boarding pass remotely and is travelling without check-in luggage, he may bypass traditional counter check-in.
The code block should not need to be modified (unless you want to implement sorting that can be ascending or descending as mentioned below). The first three parameters of the expression are required. Most of the time only the first two parameters of the expression are all that must be modified.
This does not appear to be a sequential numbering issue. Assigning a sequential number to a record is different from ranking the result set. I would look at a Running Sum to provide a numerical ranking to a result set.
Even though it looks like I clicked on the numbering button at the top, I did not. I applied the list number style. That style has different indents and a different font. Those are the settings in the List Number Style.
So? You are storing 2 sequential numbers then. One a number per last initial, the other an overall number. So you are storing those 2 numbers. Those numbers do not change once generated. There is NO need to redundantly store the concatenated full ID.
Our polypropylene stock is perfect for any application that needs more durability than paper, but not extreme durability. It’s perfect for applications exposed to moisture and applications on a curved surface.
Ok I guess it is better for me to explain what I am doing. I am in the process of creating an Access Database that an individual has been using an Excel spreadsheet forever and a day. Well the individual has on occasion doubled up numbers, forgot numbers, etc. So on what I have learned from different Access courses and Google searches I am trying to apply my knowledge.
Every barcode label we print is put through a rigorous grading process called barcode verification. Our labels are guaranteed unconditionally and we will gladly replace any label that does not scan correctly.
Click on the Help menu from an open Word document. The Help menu is usually listed in the very top toolbar and is the listing farthest to the right. When you left click on the Help icon, a drop-down menu will ask you to choose the type of help you are looking for.
Use the navigator on the right hand side and choose Edit All to make changes to all your tickets, such as changing the overall text style and size. Choose Edit One to make changes to individual tickets.

I know that PrintShopMail will do it, but I was wandering if there was a less expensive solution out there so that I could get numbered tickets (usually 4-up) right off the Xerox. I just want to avoid having to go the the Windmill after trimming and doing it the old fashion way. There is a tiny little copy shop here in town that is doing it, and am willing to bet that they are not using PrintShopMail, but I’m also not going to ask them to share their methods with a competitor. There has to be cheaper solution. I know that I can do it with auto page numbering in Indesign, but that means I can only print raffle tickets 1-up which wont work.
Unlike other Microsoft Office programs, Excel does not provide a button to number data automatically. But, you can easily add sequential numbers to rows of data by dragging the fill handle to fill a column with a series of numbers or by using the ROW function.
Then, when go to print, click on the “Setup” tab of the Print dialog, then check “Thumbnails” towards the bottom. Select the gang-up layout of the thumbnails from the associated drop-down list. Then print. Voila!!
(If you prefer using the keyboard, rather than the mouse, then do this instead of dragging down: select cell A2, hit CTRL+C to copy, then select cell A3 and use SHIFT+PgDn to select all the way down to row 500. Then hit CTRL+V to paste.)
