“sequential numbering method +how to print continuous numbers in word”

I’ve also been using NumberPress for about a year and it is awesome. You can easily position numbers as many up per form and as many up on a sheet as you will ever need. Easily change font, color, point size, angle, number of digits and can even customize prefix-ex: instead of No. you can print ABC or a form number. It also does variable data (I’ve only used a couple of times).Took a little while to learn but is now a piece of cake.

With Number Press, you can print scanned or exported image files and number at the same time — in just minutes! There’s no need to put it through the printer twice. Just set up your settings, import the file, and your job will be done in no time!

Note: These numbers are not automatically updated when you add, move, or remove rows. You can manually update the sequential numbering by selecting two numbers that are in the right sequence, and then dragging the fill handle to the end of the numbered range.

“I received my order and just want to thank you for your professionalism. I don’t normally purchase things online but this was a waaay better experience than I’d had with a local printer that I’d been referred to.”

If you want numbered headings to be underlined, but do not want a line under the number, it can be difficult if you don’t know how it works. This is because by default, the format of the number follows the format of the text that follows it. For example, let’s say you want to underline a paragraph in a Heading 2 style. Chances are it will look like this:

Instead of working harder than you need to, insert a one-column table with as many rows as necessary to accommodate your list. Then, using Word’s numbering feature, number that column. Finally, convert the table to text. The resulting list is a fixed numbered list, so you’ll have to live with its limitations; when you can do so, this method definitely beats most alternative solutions.

Scott, I have “txtProject ID#” in the code but the error message replies with highlight of “txtProject” omitting the ID#. I am aware of the # issue. The table field name is PROJECT ID#. The control is a text box of that field name. Is this not the control to use?

Often we get a request to purchase 500 raffle tickets each with two sets of random numbers. Those numbers would include all possibilities of the “pick 3” state lottery (000-999). The ticket holder would have two chances to win for each raffle ticket he or she purchases.

For example, you would like to have your first level of numbering to be Bold and Centered. In the previous section, you experienced that when you used Outline Numbering alone, you had to format each paragraph individually to be centered. When you use styles, the centering takes place automatically once you’ve defined the style to be centered.

Two lovely shades of springtime green. A ticket for raising money in aid of repairing of a building, a renewal – like spring! A 50/50 raffle. It’s simple design could easily be adapted to a poster advertising the raffle.

You don’t have to be a born salesperson to move all your tickets, but the better your sales tactics, the more successful you’ll probably be. Peter Kajanzy teaches how to crush a sale with pro techniques. One bit of advice he offers: When people ask for the price, instead of doing a complex breakdown of one for $2, three for $5, and so on, go straight to “You can buy five tickets for $8.” Generally, you don’t want potential buyers to have to do a lot of math in their heads. Make it easy on them by offering a bundle price. Other tips to help you sell include perfecting your sales pitch:

Ok, generating a random 3 digit number is a whole different thing, so I’m not going to go into that. If you want your numbers to start at 100 (to insure three digits) then change the 0 to 99. The Nz function will return the value listed if the field is Null. So the first time you execute that code, the DMax should return a Null since no numbers have been generated for the PONum field. The Nz will then substitute 99 and then increment that by 1. You can accomplish something similar by just entering 100 as the PONum for one record. .

This plugin works equally well for new and established stores: if your WooCommerce site already has orders placed, the sequential order numbers will pick up from the last order number, or begin with the starting number you configure. It’s your choice!

This video gives and example of raffle ticket printing using number pro with InDesign to create the numbering needed for 200 tickets. From creating the data file needed to laying out the document and finally the finished file ready for printing. Number-pro is an easy to use, stand alone application that can be used with InDesign, Corel Draw, Word, Publisher and any other desktop publishing or graphics software that

My only critique of the script it that it does not appear that the script preserves the original feature ObjectIDs of the original data for purposes of doing a join back to your original feature class/table (assuming you need to preserve that table).  If you can modify the original table’s schema you could first create and calculate a field that stores the original ObjectIDs in a Long Interger field.  The tool output will contain that field, which would allow you to do a join back to the original for labeling, symbolizing or transfering the new sequential IDs back into a field located in your original feature class.

With Windows 7 and 8 you may have noticed that the files are locked in auto-arrange mode, that is to say you cannot drag them around within their folders and place them in the order you want, you can only do this within the folders with XP and Vista.

This is about the 4th time I’ve ordered ticket from you and each time I’ve been impressed with the quality and rapid turn around. But we still seem to have problems with the size of the logo on the back; would like it to be larger than the finished product. Maybe we can get it next year!

The major benefit of doing this is that if after numbering one of the document is misplaced, then cashier will come to know about it immediately as sequence will break. Let’s say HG – 8888 is not in the stack. Now, as cashier knows that after C – 0003 there must be C – 0004 before C – 0005, he immediately found that one document is missing.

Lastly, students should understand that it is the responsibility of management to sequentially number source documents and not of auditor. Auditors only check whether source documents are sequentially numbered or not as it shows the seriousness of management in preparing accurate financial statements which is one their prime responsibility as the attitude of management is vital in assessing inherent risks and control risks which ultimately affect audit risk.

Nicole – I’m not sure. Are the page and margin settings (from step 1) definitely correct? If each ticket was a little too big, so that only two tickets could be fitted on each sheet of paper, that might create the problem you’ve experienced. Other than that, I’m baffled …

1. Start Microsoft Publisher. Click inside the small field with the magnifying glass in the middle of the Available Templates page, then type “tickets” and click the magnifying glass icon. Review the Publisher ticket options, then double-click a template, such as “Raffle Ticket,” to open the design in the Publisher window.

IATA later implemented the Electronic Miscellaneous Document (EMD) standard for such information. This way, airlines could consistently expose and capture such fees at time of booking through travel reservation systems, rather than having to surprise passengers with them at check-in.

I am using your instructions to create a page of tickets – the design has been created as a picture so I added a text box to “hold” the mail merge instructions but I keep getting the error message “You cannot include DATA, NEXT, NEXTIF, or SKIPIF fields in comments, headers, footers, footnotes or endnotes.” I have not included any of these but I’m wondering if it’s because I’ve attempted to insert it in a text box. Is there an easy way to do this? TIA

But would like a Numbering Program which will work with a PC using PDF converted layouts. I presume the PDF file formatting is better than converting the base layout to be numbered to TIFF of Jpeg? Is this a proper assumption?

Once you have your new blank document, go to File… > Page Setup… to set the correct size. You want to set this to the size of your raffle ticket, not the size of paper you are printing on. You probably want 4 raffle tickets per page, so if you are printing on A4 then set the size to 20cm wide x 7cm high, with 1cm margins:

Not everything is lost, because you can augment your Ticket Number with some additional data to reduce the changes of creating duplicates. You can for example use the username of the currently logged in user. This can be achieved by using the function property(‘username’). This would leave your Ticket Number expression as:

There is very simple solution that we use and that is to lay out the sheet say 6 up on a A4 sheet as a master page and in document setup set the number of pages to 1,000 if that is the amount you require. Put a page number on each ticket on the page and although they will all have the same number on each page, we put the the first two letters of the customers business name before each number followed by the letters of the alphabet so it then reads for example BT1A, BT2A, BT3A, BT1B, BT2B, BT2C and so on as each page is printed.

The data member not found message indicates you are using an invalid control name. This is what I was referring to before about making sure you use the correct object names. So you probably don’t have a control named txtPONum.

This video tutorial demonstrates how easy it is to automatically number raffle tickets in Microsoft Word. Simply download a raffle tickets template, download our number series file, and Mail Merge to create the ticket numbers.

Unfortunately, InDesign isn’t exactly speedy at updating these numbers when you add a bunch of pages. But it’s not hard to duplicate and reduplicate until you have a thousand or more numbered tickets.

First, you need to enter the TransactionDate first. You can’t generate the Sequence until a TransactionDate is entered. Second, you are missing a line of code. In the blog I emphasize that you have to commit the record immediately after generating the sequence. So you need that second line: Me.Dirty=False after the code you have.

Change all other existing text to reflect the correct date and prizes by highlighting the words and either editing or deleting the existing text. Font size and style can be adjusted using the font toolbar above the document. Images can be added by using the Insert menu in the toolbar and following the same process as inserting images to a Word document.

After the { SEQ € r68}, insert just the { SEQ € } fields where you need them for the sequential numbering. If you copy and paste one of these fields, you’ll probably need to select in and press F9 to update it, or you could press Ctrl-A, F9 to update all fields in the document – useful if you’ve added/deleted one in an existing sequence or if you’re adding multiple such fields.
I have a word document with a table of 6 exact cells on a full page table. In those cell areas I have been printing tickets with a list and a mail merge and updating labels. I call to an excel list of 1-2000 and then I generate all the pages through the Finish and Merge option. This all works perfect. I get 2000 individually numbered tickets to print…however…I then have six tickets printed on a page of paper with ticket numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 ,6 then the next page has 7,8,9,10,11,12. This is fine but I then have to cut and stack these tickets in groups of six and at that point none of the numbering is sequential. The tickets are basically random.
Tip  Using the same logic for removing underlining from a number, you can make the paragraph number bold without having the text of the paragraph formatted as bold. In the Customize window of the Bullets and Numbering dialog box, choose the applicable level and click Font. Select Bold, and click OK twice.
With dragging this fill handle, you can also fill the column of cells with sequence numbers such as these formats: “000-001,000-002,000-003…” and the sequence numbers with prefix “KTE-0001, KTE-0002, KTE-0003… ”.
Choose between numbers or letters, set a start value, end value, and how the values increment. If you want leading zeros, check the box and define how many—usually this is as many spaces as your end value has. You can also add characters or words before or after the numbers in the Prefix and Suffix boxes.
