Choose between numbers or letters, set a start value, end value, and how the values increment. If you want leading zeros, check the box and define how many—usually this is as many spaces as your end value has. You can also add characters or words before or after the numbers in the Prefix and Suffix boxes.
In the United Kingdom, raffles occasionally are held to circumvent licensing laws. While only licensed premises are permitted to sell alcoholic beverages, there is no restriction on the offering of alcoholic beverages as prizes in raffles. At some events, attendees can enter a raffle where prizes include alcoholic drink(s). In the UK the term “tombola” is used when the raffle tickets are placed in a barrel and tumbled before the winning tickets are drawn from the barrel. The tombola booth is commonly used as a fund raising event for local fetes.
Raffle Ticket Machine will automate all aspects of ticket and book creation to the cutting and stapling stage. The many options available in the program will ensure your raffle contains carefully considered information. There are four main ticket types to choose from in standard and My Design formats.
The following screen shots are from Word 2010 but this applies to all versions of Word. (Here is the same question and answer using Word 2003 screen shots.) This is CK’s response to a question on the Microsoft Answers site.
Click within a text box on a PowerPoint slide. If the slide’s layout does not include a text box, click the “Insert” tab and click “Text Box.” Drag your cursor to draw a text box on the desired part on the slide.
Let’s do that one more time. Let’s go into TCount. Let’s go back into TCount. I’ll pick it on the screen, make it easier for you to see. I’m going to go ahead and I’m going to select these objects over here. Oh, what happened. That’s the new Lasso inside of AutoCAD 2015. We’ll talk about that another day — the Lasso option, which many of us discovered by accident. Then I’m going to go ahead and I’m going to say, this time I want to sort using the X. So when you pick Y, it goes in descending order. When you pick X, it goes in ascending order. So it should go from left to right. So I’m going to say X. Let’s start with 10 and we’ll increment by 1. So we’re going to start with the number 10 and we’re going to add 1 to it each time. Now let’s see what else can we do. We already did prefix, let’s do suffix. You should see it goes from left to right. Because I selected the X. It goes in the positive direction. You following me? It’s very easy actually. Okay, let’s undo that.
The brackets around the tablename may be confusing Access. If you review the blog you will see I never use brackets for the table name. Other things to check. Is the Sequence control bound to the Sequence field in EvidenceDetail? Is MatterCode a text datatype?

I am trying to do something similar, but more difficult. I need to print a 4 page PDF, it has a number field with a 3 digit number in the corner of the first page. I need the number to increase every time it prints, however, I print many copies at once, sometimes 50 to 100. Is there a way to set it to print that many copies and increase that number after each copy? Ive been trying to figure this out for about a year now, if anyone could help, please let me know.

Occasionally we come across project requirements that include the ability to do sequential numbering in Access on a set of data. We cannot just use the auto-number data type because there is no promise of sequentiality but only uniqueness. In other words, if someone creates a record then later deletes it, there will be a gap in the sequence. So, what are our options? There are actually several ways, each with its pros and cons.
Scott, trying my best to have sequential numbering almost identical to your scenario 1 (bound control on input form which increments last number by 1). Where do I enter this code? I have form which opens and is ready for entry of new Project Designs. I want to show in the control box the next Project ID (a number) so do I place the code, Me.txtProject ID = Nz(DMax(“[Project ID]”,”DESIGN PROJECTS”),0)+1, under On Load, After Update, or where? And also, the Me.Dirty = False or DoCmd.RunCommand
The script comes with a toolbox to make it easily accessible in ModelBuilder, but I found that the tool initally gave an error when I tried to run it. I had to go into the script properties and correct the source by browsing to the location where I had stored the script.
I\’m new to access with that being said where do I put the code Me.txtSequence = Nz(DMax(“[Sequence]”,”tblInquiry”,”Year([InquiryDate]) = “ & Year(Me.[txtInquiryDate])),0)+1when I try to build an expression code I receive an invalid syntax error message.
Now you’re done. Click OK and you should see the number appear in the text frame. To make more numbers, just duplicate this frame. Every time you make a new frame, InDesign increments the number automatically. Note that in the following image, the frames are not threaded together:
This chapter (web page) takes you through how numbering is supposed to work in Word and the various controls. It is useful, but primarily on SEQ fields and simple numbered lists and also as reference showing the menus, dialogs and controls and going through the concepts for outline numbering. To actually set up outline numbering that works, refer to the Kelly and McGhie articles.
For larger numbers, increase the interval between each sequence and use that number of pages. What I suggested is based on 34 pages of 6 so the interval is 34. For each additional page of 6 you would increase that interval between the starting numbers by one.
The Sequence Field has no switch to change the interval between numbers. It is always the next integer from the last one unless you are restarting the numbering. So, if you want a sequence of odd (1, 3, 5, 7,…) or even (2, 4, 6, 8, …) numbers, how can you generate it using the SEQ field?
Create the text frame for the numbers in InDesign and if there are more than one ticket per page, link them. Place the text file into the first frame with a shift click to auto flow and create new pages.
The ticket you create can be tagged with a unique number so that when you send an email from Odoo, the email subject will contain the Ticket Number for easy searching and identification. This makes it very easy to search for emails that are related to a certain ticket or customer. Searching of ticket tagged with a number within odoo is also made simple and faster. Enable/Disable tagging of ticket heading within the helpdesk team settings.
Word’s Numbering Explained by John McGhie, MVP – comprehensive and not pretty (Downloadable pdf file in letter size) – Reading this is vital to anyone attempting to use automatic numbering or bullets in a law office setting or other places where the documents are likely to be reused or heavily edited. See also How to Create a Template with a downloadable template with style-based numbering. I strongly recommend that you read both of these before doing anything with the contents of this chapter.
