Interestingly, resetting the page numbering also works when calculating total number of pages, whereby the total is from the section, not the entire document, even though the NumPages field is used instead of SectionPages! Go figure, but it worked for me.

Am facing problem by creating 100 r 200 stickers in single page. The problem is, logo or some rectangle object are there.. inside object i need to set numbering like AB-0001, …. ,  AB-0100. Now am doing this in manually…

Creating the Business Card Page 1. In order to create different page sizes within one document, you must first make sure that the Current Page button, in the interactive properties bar, has been selected. By pressing this button you are telling CorelDRAW that the page size you have selected is only applicable to the current page you’re working on.

If necessary, create a text frame where you want a chapter number to appear. If you want a chapter number to appear on several pages, create the text frame on a master page, and apply that master page to the document pages.

Determine what kind of numbering you want to use for your document or book. For long documents, you can assign chapter numbers. Each document can be assigned only one chapter number. If you want to use different numbering within a document, you can define ranges of pages as sections; these sections can be numbered differently. For example, the first ten pages of a document (the front matter) might use Roman numerals, and the rest of the document might use Arabic numerals.

The background image has a size of 22p5 by 5p6. You can choose any size as long as it fits onto your page. To fit the Rectangle Frame to the background image, select the Option + Command + C. This fits the frame to the content.

NOTE: Heading styles are predefined with certain paragraph and character formatting attributes. You may have to modify these styles by using the Style command on the Format menu to obtain the intended appearance.

Is there any way I can get PS to do this automatically for me,so I either specify the starting number,or it actually takes the file name (minus the extension,so no JPEG etc after it)and adds this text to the watermark layer while I put the kettle on?

Note: If your document already has page numbers, the page number on the cover page is automatically suppressed when you insert a cover page from the gallery of cover pages in Microsoft Office Word 2007. Inserting a cover page causes the second page to be numbered as page 2.

Word’s Numbering Explained by John McGhie, MVP – comprehensive and not pretty (Downloadable pdf file in letter size) – Reading this is vital to anyone attempting to use automatic numbering or bullets in a law office setting or other places where the documents are likely to be reused or heavily edited. I’ve been using Word in various incarnations for over 20 years (although I always preferred WordPerfect) and the automatic paragraph numbering was always a weak spot. The extraordinary thing is that it has got worse since 2003 – the bloat really has taken over, and for choice I use Word 2000, although sadly I can’t do that at work. As a result, I have spent the best part of 2 days wrestling with a document that refused to number correctly, until I found your blog. I was on the point of doing them all manually, just to save time. Thank you!

Zoom into the tickets where you have placed the text for the numbering and click on the data merge palette. This should be open already since we already called in the data file in Step 11. Place the text cursor behind the last letter of your text. Then click on the text data file (100.txt) in the Data Merge Palette.

Go to the Pages palette menu and select “Numbering and section options”. I added a Section Prefix of “A” so InDesign could distinguish between pages A1 and 1. After doing this InDesign will let you change the master page of A1.

The standard method for displaying a page number in InDesign is to insert an Automatic Page Number Marker into a text frame (Text menu: Insert Special Character: Marker: Current Page Number). This is typically done on your master page(s) so that the page number will appear on every page using that master. If you wish to hide the page number on pages in your document, just use a different master that does not include the marker (or use the “None” master if you do not wish to display any master page items).

You must make the box very wide. InDesign will automatically update page numbers when you are through and it requires that the box could fit the number 1,999, even if your page numbers will remain low.

So I spent some time trying to figure it out, playing with Normal.dotm and the various styles (List paragraph, List Number, List Bullet etc etc). And finally, when I’ve got Normal.dotm open (i.e. I’m editing that template file), I get my result: I apply a standard numbered list, and it comes up flush left (i.e. not indented) and hanging at 1.0cm (cos I don’t use inches…) and with a tab stop applied at 1.0cm as well – funky stuff!

In Word 2000, when you begin a numbered list, it is an Outline Numbered list by default. Therefore, you do not need to go into the Bullets & Numbering command unless you plan on changing the default scheme.

Word gives you the ability to customize numbered lists you create. Click “Home,” highlight the paragraphs you converted into a list and then click the Paragraph dialog box launcher located in the ribbon’s Paragraph section. A Paragraph window with adjustment settings opens. Remove the check mark from the “Don’t Add Space Between Paragraphs of the Same Style” check box and click “OK.” Word restores the line spacing between your paragraphs.

If an unwanted character appears at the beginning of the page number (so that, for example, a jump line reads “Cont’d on page A16” instead of “Cont’d on page 16”), you probably included a section prefix in the Numbering & Section Options dialog box. Turn off or edit the prefix.

In this video tutorial I show you how to set up Auto Page numbers in Adobe Indesign. When you are designing a project in Adobe Indesign you often need to have page numbers. In this tutorial you will learn how to add Auto Page numbering to your projects to automatically add page numbers each time you create a new page.

Position the insertion point where you want the page number to appear and then choose Type in the menu bar followed by Insert Special Character > Markers > Current Page Number. A placeholder appears on the master page in place of the number.

@tpias: If I’m not mistaken, the epub reader (digital editions, or iBook, or stanza, etc.) can insert its own page numbers in. But think about it: If the person using the reader software makes the text bigger or smaller, then all the text would reflow and all the page numbers would be wrong! So it is not for InDesign to put page numbers in.

Enter the total number of rows that fit in the detail section of the document’s middle pages when you print a document with more than two pages. You specify this value so that the system calculates the total number of pages used to print a document. If you do not complete this field, the system uses the value that you enter in the Detail Section Total Number of Rows field as the number of rows for the first page.

Document control number fields are created and modified in the “Library Administration” section of FileHold. Therefore the creators must have at least Library administration rights. Once a document control number schema is created, users can create new document and a new and unique document control number will be automatically allocated.

Click Numbering in the Paragraph document numbering in word In Word 2003, Numbering is on the Formatting toolbar. At this point, you have a one-column table with one hundred rows displaying a sequential list of 1 to 100.

Word allows you to restart page numbering on any page of your document. You can do this by inserting a section break and then selecting the number you want to restart the numbering with. In our example, we’ll restart the page numbering for our document’s Works Cited section.

To format more than one number, but not all of them, hold down the [Ctrl] key while you select markers. Then, apply the format as you normally would. Formats applied to the entire list will take precedence over formats applied via the end-of-paragraph marker.

Because this document has facing pages, we want to insert page numbers on both the left and right pages. For now, navigate to the bottom-right corner of the right-hand page by zooming in (Ctrl + [Windows] or Cmd + [Mac]). Select the Type Tool (T) from the Tools Panel (Window > Tools) and drag to create a small text frame, resting the top of the frame against the margin.

In either case, the software will ensure that the control number is unique to the document. When used, document control numbers are mandatory. Control numbers must be assigned to a document when it’s added to the software and are unable to be modified later.

If your tickets don’t require sequential numbering, you can find more templates at RaffleTicketTemplates.org. The tickets there are more the standard fare. They have different sizes, layouts, and downloads for both Microsoft Word and Corel Draw.

  1. Create the sample label so that it has the word Exhibit followed by a merge field that represents the number being pulled from the Excel worksheet. Make sure the label contents are formatted the way you need them.
For a University project I’m animating a custom CAT rig on an elephant; I was wondering if there is a way I can make a set of sequential images, or a video maybe, as the background so that when I scroll through the timeline the background video plays too.
In the Customizing activity Assign Customer-Specific Classes to Countries, you can assign a customer-specific class to a country for which ODN is already activated. You can also activate ODN with number groups for additional countries by entering the country and the corresponding customer-specific class. In the customer-specific class, you can define that the business place is also used to determine the relevant number range.
